Efficient rehabilitation of grass and pastures

The Grassland Harrow GS 600 M1 NA is generally used in areas where intense pasture tillage is necessary. Two front rows of heavy gauge tines provide for strong dethatching and weed removal, while two back rows of lighter gauge tines rake the extracted material from the soil and aid in working the seed or fertilizer into the soil.

Shape of the tines

Long tines create a high passage and allow faster driving with less problems in connection with blockage.

Thickness of the tines

The harrow consists of four tine rows:

The front two tine rows are equipped with cranked 0.4 in / 10 mm (optional 0.5 in / 12 mm) spring tines. These tear the sward and remove unwanted grasses, matting and mosses.
The back two tine rows are equipped with cranked 8 mm spring tines. These separate the soil from the tilled material, work seed into the soil and produce a fine soil (soil closure for the seed).

¹APV exclusively offers the combination of two rows of strong and two rows of weaker spring tines. This is unique in harrow technology.

Incline adjustment of the tines

Easy adjustment of the aggressiveness of the strong front tines using the feeler wheels.
You can adjust the inclination of the 8 mm tines in the third and fourth tine rows using the bracket with the hole pattern (4 stage adjustment range of 33° in 11° steps).

Our recommendation:

For hard and dry ground, choose a steep tilt of the tine (= aggressive processing - small movement of the tine).
For light and soft ground, choose a flat tilt of the tine (= gentle processing - large movement of the tine)¹.

¹ Pay attention to the contact pressure. When the tines are set too flat, hardly any soil tillage occurs.

Front feeler wheels

The swivel and lockable front feeler wheels make the Grassland Harrow suitable for slopes. As a result, the GS is protected from being pulled downhill.
